Rauw Alejandro

Raul Alejandro Ocasio Ruiz was born on the 10th of January 1993, is a Puerto Rican singer/songwriter. He has been called the "King of modern Reggaeton".[2][3] He belongs to the "new generation" of Puerto Rican musicians. The debut studio album, Afrodisiaco, was released in November 2020. Vice Versa is his second studio album, came out in June of 2021. It included the title track "Todo de Ti". He has received two Latin Grammy Awards from twelve nominations. Raul Alejandro Olasio was conceived in San Juan (Puerto Rico) on the 10th January 1993. His family was raised in Carolina and Canovanas. His father, guitarist Raul Ocasio, as well as his mother and backing vocalist Maria Nelly Ruiz, introduced him to some of his musical inspirations, such as Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson as well as Chris Brown. Alejandro and his father stayed for a long time in the United States. They mainly resided in New York City and Miami. Rauw Alejandro's music style is Latin R&B and reggaeton. He also loves dance music and rhythmic pop. Billboard claimed that his music has "set him apart" from the growing band of pop-leaning Reggaetoneros. Presley and Jackson were influential in the beginning.
